Kachele VillageKachele Village in Fisenge on the Copperbelt provides a secure home and future for leper invalids and their dependents in Zambia – and the surrounding communities. It was created by Kathy Harding in response to the closure of the leper compound at Liteta Hospital in 2000. The village is built on 500 acres of land held in trust by the Zambian charity National Agenda for Social Advancement. You can support through Operation Sunshine (http://www.operation-sunshine.org) and Hands at Work (http://www.handsatwork.org).
