Luanshya Copper Mines has started re-calling workers on the back of higher copper prices and more reliable electricity supply. So far, the mine has recalled 50 workers, but another 100 are set to join them by the end of March 2017. The mine sent 1,640 miners on forced leave in September 2015. The mining complex is owned by CNMC Luanshya Copper Mines Plc, which is owned by China Nonferrous Mining Corporation Ltd (80%) and ZCCM-IH (20%).
