Weather interpreting committee - TAX!

Several provinces have experienced unusual pre-winter rains recently, including hail storms in Lusaka on 14 May, leading to an avalanche of pictures being posted online of excited people posing in the “snow”, throwing “snow” balls and building “snow” men. The Zambia Meteorological Department explained that the unusual weather was due to a cold front over the north-eastern coast of South Africa shifting towards the north, where it collided with the Congo air mass over the eastern half of Zambia. It warned that more unstable weather could be expected, especially in Lusaka, Eastern, Muchinga and some parts of Central Province.
